Port Norfolk is a turn-of-the-century neighborhood situated along the southern shore of the Elizabeth River. The majority of Port Norfolk's homes were constructed from the 1890's thru the 1920's. The neighborhood boasts an eclectic mix of architectural styles from the period, including Victorian Vernacular, Queen Anne, American four Square, Arts and Crafts and Colonial Revival.
The neighborhood has retained much of it's original charm and character, with shady tree-lined streets, a lovely waterfront, and a quaint business district. Port Norfolk takes on the character of a small town, all within the midst of the big city.
Many Port Norfolk residents are committed to the vision of restoring the priceless historic treasures the neighborhood has to offer. Additionally we are committed to creating a true community. One where friends and neighbors come together to make a difference. When you come to Port Norfolk you'll not only enjoy architectural gems of the past, but a friendly community atmosphere of days gone by.
Please take a moment and enjoy a virtual tour of Port Norfolk, learn a bit more about our neighborhood events and activities, and learn why Port Norfolk is a great place to call home!
